The structural motifs responsible for the formation of bowls, balls and sheets of orthoboric acid were pointed out in an earlier publication (Elango et al. J. Phys. Chem. A 2005, 109, 8587). It is shown in the present study that metaboric acid forms similar bowls, balls and sheets, despite the fact that the basic unit for cluster formation is different.en_US
