Abstract
The research work carried out is primarily focused on the Lewis acid catalyzed 5-endo-dig
cyclization and/or conjugate addition approaches for the synthesis of unsymmetrical diaryl- and
triarylmethanes using 2-(2-enynyl)-pyridines or p-quinone methides (p-QMs) as synthetic
precursors.
