The book "Character Theory of Finite Groups" by I. Martin Isaacs is a reference for my reading project. I have also read the article "Applications of Character Theory of Finite Simple groups" by Martin W. Liebeck and the paper "On Involutions and Indicators of Finite Orthogonal Groups" by Gregory K.
