Abstract

The low-dissipation model and the endoreversible model of heat engines are two of the most commonly studiedmodels of machines in finite-time thermodynamics. In this paper we compare the performance characteristicsof these two models under optimal power output. We point out a basic equivalence between them, in the linearresponse regime
