Abstract: | An efficient 1,6‐conjugate addition of 3‐substituted indoles to para‐quinone methides (p‐QMs) using catalytic amount of Bi(OTf)3 is described. This mild and atom‐economical protocol allowed us to access unsymmetrical diaryl(2‐indolyl)methanes in moderate to excellent yields under solvent‐free grinding conditions. |
