Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has been a worldwide serious problem that has harmed people's lives. It affects all the sectors of an economy across the world including education. Education is an important factor in the economic growth of a country. This study aims to understand the impact of digitalization on education, quality of education, digitalization, and digital learning during the pandemic by using primary data. This study is quantitative in nature. Primary data was collected by a survey in one private and one government school at Jhajjar district of Haryana. Unit of analysis was students studying between upper primary and higher secondary whose age is ranging from 10 years to 18 years. Simple random sampling methods were used for selecting data and the purposive sampling method was used for the selection of district and schools. Data analysis processed and analysed by MS excel and Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). Not surprisingly, COVID-19 has severly adversely affected school education in terms of their learning outcome. A significant number of students are disagreeing with the online mode of education and want offline mode as their primary mode of education and online education has affected their study time and quality of education. About 79% of students reported that they retain upto 85% of the syllabus which is below average in terms of score. Government should prepare and design some preventative measures that can help students to absorb any shock that may occur in future.
