Abstract: Cyclopropenium salt has been used as a Lewis-Acid organocatalyst for performing 1,6 Conjugate Addition of Indoles to p-Quinone Methide systems. The reaction progresses efficiently at room temperatures with rapid reaction times thereby, constructing the biologically important diarylindolylmethanes in good to excellent yields.
