Abstract: | Bis-(dialkylamino)-cyclopropenylidene (BAC) has been utilized as a BrĂ˜nsted base for the conjugate addition of C-nucleophiles to para-quinone methides and chalcones. This transformation occurs at mild conditions and is tolerant to a variety of functional groups. This protocol provides an easy and straightforward access to a set of diaryl and triarylmethanes in good to excellent yields |
